About Selma, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Selma, Texas is a small city located in BexarComal, and Guadalupe counties. As of 2010, the population of this community had reached 5,500 people, up from less than 800 residents in 2000. Selma is bordered by Schertz, Universal City, Live Oak, and San Antonio. The city center is also only 18 miles northeast of San Antonio’s downtown area, making it easy for residents to live in Selma and commute to the city for their jobs.

Despite being a relatively small city, there are a few important attractions located in Selma. The Retama Racing Park is a great place to check out a horse race and other horseman events, and visitors who want to do some shopping may want to check out the Forum, a 110-store outdoor shopping mall. The former Harrison and Brown Stagecoach Stop has also been restored to the Selma Stage Stop, and residents can get all of their outdoor supplies at Academy Sports + Outdoors, which has a store located in this community.

The warm winter weather in Selma may be one reason that more people are moving to the community. Temperatures generally reach the low-60s, on average, and the community is rarely bothered by unpleasant winter precipitation like snow. However, occasional cold fronts do make their way into the area, and they can bring along freezing conditions. Most Selma residents are prepared for these issues by having a heat pump or furnace installed at home.

During the summer, residents have no need to worry about warming up their homes. Temperatures can easily reach 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and rainy conditions are also common. In order to stay safe at home, Selma residents will need to have an efficient air conditioning system in place. HVAC professionals recommend that these units are serviced during the spring to ensure they are operating properly when the dangerous summer heat begins.
