About Kirby, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Kirby, Texas is a San Antonio enclave with a population of roughly 8,000 residents. Located in Bexar County, this community originally served as an agricultural settlement situated on the Southern Pacific Railroad. Once incorporated in 1955, Kirby became a suburban community made up of diverse backgrounds. Kirby neighborhoods are grouped into three categories: Kirby Manor, Kirby Terrace, and Old Town. However, the Judson Independent School District serves the entire community, and older students will attend Karen Wagner High School.

The actual Kirby community houses very few area attractions. This enclave is better known for its outdoor recreation and serenity. For this reason, visitors and residents can enjoy a variety of parks and outdoor spaces, including Friendship Park, Springfield Meadows of Kirby, and John H. Sterling Memorial Park.

Other popular attractions are located just outside of Kirby in neighboring communities. Splashtown San Antonio is a popular water park that attracts both residents and visitors to the area. The Eisenhauer Market is a popular shopping destination and features antiques, furniture, and other collectibles. The Nardis Gun Club and Continental Café and Event Center are also worth a visit when in this portion of the city.

Kirby is found within a humid subtropical climate zone. This means that during the summer, hot conditions will exist. In fact, temperatures average in the mid-90s during this season, although record highs have hit 115 degrees Fahrenheit. While swimming and other outdoor recreation can help residents to stay cool, a reliable air conditioner is needed at home in order to ensure that all family members stay safe.

During the winter, the area does cool off, and residents can enjoy comfortable and warm weather. Some freezing rain may occur, especially if a cold front moves into the area, so Kirby residents will be smart to invest in a heat pump or other furnace system. To ensure that these appliances are ready, an experienced HVAC professional should check them out during the fall.
