About Schertz, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Schertz is a Texas city located in portions of three counties: Bexar, Comal, and Guadalupe. It is part of the San Antonio – New Braunfels Metro Area, and as of 2012, the population was approaching 35,000 people. Schertz is bordered by several other Texas communities, including Cibolo, Universal City, Garden Ridge, and New Braunfels. CNN Money named this community as one of the best places to live in the United States in both 2007 and 2009, and it was also referred to as the best place to live in the State of Texas.

Schertz hosts a variety of unique festivals throughout the course of the year. The Schertz Fourth of July Jubilee is arguably the most popular in the city, and it is one of the largest festivals and parades in South and Central Texas. SchertzFest is held each year in late September, and it features entertainment, food, and beverages to celebrate the founding of Schertz. Other popular events included the Schertz Sweetheart Pageant, the Doggie Dash, and the Absolute Jazz Festival.

In addition to the festivals held in Schertz, there are several other interesting attractions and things to do. For example, Bussey’s Flea Market is a great place to find a good deal on antiques and other rare items in the area. There are also a variety of outdoor spaces available in Schertz, including Thulemeyer Park, Pickrell Park, and Lions Pride Park.

Residents of Schertz will typically avoid the colder weather of other parts of the country. Winter temperatures reach the 60s, but nighttime lows can fall into the low 40s. To stay comfortable when the thermostat falls, most homeowners will have a furnace or heat pump in place. Additionally, summers are dry and hot, and in order to stay safe, an efficient and frequently serviced air conditioner system is a necessity.
