About Boerne, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Boerne is a Kendall County, Texas city with a population of over 10,400 residents, and it also serves as the county seat. Founded in 1849, this community was originally called Tusculum before being renamed in honor of a Jewish German publicist and author. Borne is located 30 miles northwest of Downtown San Antonio, and it is home to two actively growing limestone solution caves: Cascade Caverns and Cave Without a Name.

Visitors who are looking to spend some time outdoors often travel to Boerne. The Hill Country Mile is found in this city, and it offers a 1.1 mile walking path that follows historic Main Street and River Road Park. The Cibolo Nature Center also offers trails and outdoor activities, and it comprises more than 100 acres of area wilderness. Championship level golf facilities are also found within Boerne at the Resort at Tapatio Springs.

Other interesting attractions are also located around Boerne. The Enchanted Springs Ranch features 86 acres of a working ranch and animal park. It was originally designed to be a Western movie set, but it is now open to visitors. The arts are celebrated in Boerne, with Hill Country Pottery Gallery and The Shabby Palette. Boerne is also the home of a regional poetry festival called the Guadalupe Valley Poetry Celebration, and all proceeds benefit the Boerne Public Library.

The climate of Boerne is characterized by mild to cool winters and hot, humid summers. For this reason, most residents will invest in both an air conditioner and a home heating system for their houses. Summer temperatures can reach dangerously high levels, and without a cooling system in place, visitors and residents could be susceptible to heat-related illnesses. Likewise, when the occasional cold front brings freezing weather to Boerne, residents will need to have a heat pump or furnace to keep their home’s pipes from freezing.
